Here’s my take on Ry Cooder‘s masterpiece “Paris, Texas“, written for the soundtrack of Win Wender‘s film of the same name.

Loosely based on “Dark Was the Night, Cold Was the Ground“, by Blind Willie Johnson, the haunting tones and eerie atmosphere of this tune has fascinated me since I was a child, and sparked in me the love for slide guitar.
